City Will Host Annual Independence Day Fireworks Display
The City of Mountain Home will host its annual Independence Day fireworks display July 4, 2020, just after sunset. More details will follow as the date nears.
The general public may also use non-aerial, safe and sane fireworks within city limits from June 28 through midnight July 8. Non-aerial common safe and sane fireworks cannot explode, leave the ground or fly when tossed into the air, travel more than 10 feet, emit showers of sparks more than 20 feet in height, discharge material outside a 20-foot diameter circle, or emit sparks more than 12 feet when used for propulsion. Anything purchased at any fireworks stand within city limits should be considered “safe and sane.” The City will provide a designated location at Legacy Park for the general public July 4-8 for residents who do not have a safe, legal area to discharge their fireworks. Any person using this location will be required to stay within the designated area, maintain fire safety, and clean up all debris when they have finished.
Further questions should be directed to the Mountain Home Fire Department at (208) 587-2117.
